What is remote help?

Remote help allows us to see your screen as if we were sitting in front if it. Instead of sitting on the phone with you, asking you to click this or that, not being able to see what’s going on, we are able to perform all the steps required to get your computer working the way it should.

Is my data safe?

All communications between your computer & ours is secured using 128-bit encryption. All sessions are initiated by you and are completely under your control – you can stop them at any time. Nothing is installed on your computer. The remote help software is stand-alone which means it does not need to be installed to work. We cannot access your machine without your express permission.

Can everything be fixed remotely?

The short answer is…no. There are just some times a visit is needed. As this service requires a working internet connection, if there is a problem with internet connectivity, this type of problem cannot be resolved with remote help.
Hardware problems – again – it’s something we need to see “hands on”.

How long will it take to fix my computer?

We use remote help as a supplemental tool, rather than a replacement for our services. Therefore if we have you initiate a remote help session, it’s usually something that can be fixed within 30 minutes or so. Connection speed & your particular problem are factors that can affect the length of time needed. We can let you know, usually within a few minutes if an on-site visit is needed.
